SUMMARY OF POSITION: This opening is for a seasoned landscape professional that is highly proficient and is responsible for meeting with clients, creating, designing, and pricing, as well as presenting and selling the entire project. This is not an entry-level position and we would prefer someone with 5 or more years of selling landscape jobs.

HOURS OF WORK: Normal work hours are 30 – 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturday work.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The following duties are included for this position:

· Working closely with other designers and Landscape Architects to complete projects, including the creation of plans, estimates, and proposals.

· Use artistic skill to create functional, pleasant, and professional landscapes.

· Is responsible for listening to customer’s requests and designing within the parameters given by the customer.

· Will be the primary contact for the customer, and responsible for the overall satisfaction of the customer from the initial plan, estimate, and down payment, to the final acceptance of the completed project.

· Must be able to design the following landscape elements (but not limited to):

o Patios, walls, walks, plantings, decks, arbors, pergolas, fire & water features, customized lawns, landscape management, seasonal displays, planters, landscape lighting, outdoor rooms, etc.

· Working hand in hand with Project Managers to ensure proper execution of the job.

· Must have a strong knowledge of plant material, including ID, handling, installation techniques, fertilizing, watering, pruning, chemical treatments, etc.

· Knowledge of proper construction practices when installing hardscape elements.

· Knowledge of proper grading techniques to ensure correct drainage standards.

· Must have good time management skills.

· Field measuring sites for the creation of base maps.

· Preparing orders for soft and hardscape materials.

· Answering customer phone calls and questions.

· Retail sales.

· Self-starter with the ability to interact with office personnel and customers in a positive and friendly manner

· Ability to work independently and follow up with customers as needed.

· Strong customer service skills are a necessity.

· Completing paperwork and assisting with material ordering and tracking.

· A bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Architects license is preferred.

· A valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.

PAY RATE: Depending on experience, hourly + commissions or salary + commissions.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
